Well here we go, the first post in my new blog. I had one ages ago but never bothered with it, I'm hoping that this time around I'll make some use of the thing.
Finished moving out of my rented house today, it was a total pain in the backside but I guess that's what happens when you tend to buy loads of crap and fill a house with it. I'm relieved to be out of there that's for sure. No more boiler that only works when it feels like it, no more neighbours from hell and their god awful drum and bass they play at full blast at 8 in the morning, and no more annoying housemates who don't know what "clean", "tidy" or "hygienic" mean. Of course I'm a bit apprehensive about moving in with my boyfriend, whilst we've been together for over a year now and pretty much spend all our time together I've never done the whole living with a guy thing before, and being someone in need of adequate personal time I worry how I'll cope with nowhere I can really disappear off to and call my own like my bedroom has always been whilst growing up and living in halls. I'm excited too, obviously, I just tend to over think of the negatives sometimes. I'm sure I'll cope though.
I love to write although strangely enough I only fell into it when I was 17, before then I couldn't think of anything worse to do with my time! I don't figure that I'll ever be a published author, I'm not that good and to be honest I'm happy just writing for relaxation and my own self achievement. If it ever did happen it would be a dream come true, but unlike authors like Stephen King, my imagination is pretty limited. At the moment the supernatural seems to be my genre of choice and a series of stories came out of nowhere whilst I was dabbling with ideas.
When it comes to my original fiction I've decided I will post it on FictionPress after all. There's been a lot of trouble with plagiarism on there recently and for a while I didn't think I should take the risk and make my work vulnerable to selfish idiots, but then I figured all my work written so far has been copyrighted and with the amount of evidence I have that I wrote my stories, I've not really got much to worry about. Fingers crossed either way though!
I think I'm going to start with a story called Crimson Dawn, a piece of vampire fiction that I was challenged to write by a friend after she got fed up about me whinging about Twilight all the time. Its pretty much complete but I plan on revising and editing as I upload it onto FP; it's certainly no bestseller but its fun and fresh and I think some people may like it. I'm going to take it one story at a time and not try to post two or three simultaneously, mostly for the sake of my sanity lol.
